Date: Sunday, 13th JJuly 2025

Time: TBC

Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD

Too often in the church we misunderstand each other. We see some people as rude, direct, and abrupt, while others are passive aggressive, never asking for what they really want. Sermons miss the mark, and church councils talk in circles, failing to make decisions and take action.

What is going on?

Utilising DISC Communication theory, Pastor Chris Mann (Director of Lifelong Leaders, Pastor at Endeavour College, Mawson Lakes) presents The Gift of Understanding – Increasing Communication and Connection in Your Church.

Participants in The Gift of Understanding will:

  • Discover their unique communication style – and how it serves them and those around them

  • Learn why that person gets on their nerves so easily… and how to make future conversations go smoothly

  • Gain the tools needed to navigate difficult topics with different personality types

  • Transform their ability to preach, speak, and lead those God has given them to care for

  • Grow in their ability to help their people feel valued and loved in the midst of change

  • Walk away with a simple, effective toolkit to help them apply what they learn

If you want to improve your ability to connect with others, to hear what people are truly saying, and truly understand others, this workshop is for you. Full of practical takeaways and biblical examples, The Gift of Understanding will help you serve the people God has placed before you.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." (Ephesians 4:29)
